The article  talks about how the lockdown led to two suicides at the Air Force Academy. When most other schools sent students home, the Air Force Academy decided to keep their seniors on campus. Obviously at a military academy, life in general is already very strict, so the addition of new Covid restrictions must have been too much for these students. Something that they didn’t talk about is what resources the academy has for mental health, and if these students had shown any signs of suicidal thoughts and depression before the lockdown. The article states that the reason that these students were kept on campus is because of a pilot shortage in the Air Force. While this is a legitimate reason to be on campus, there should have been more resources available for these students during this time. (Sean Dynan)
