Women leaders in countries such as Taiwan, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Germany, Finland, and New Zealand are all doing exceptionally well compared to their male counterparts; however, much of these countries are small, islands, or have incredibly low population density which of course affects transmission rates in their nations. Germany avoided the waves of anger and confusion by bringing the facts to the people on TV broadcasts. Taiwan was among the first to begin rapid testing, and New Zealand was early to lockdown the country and close its borders from foreigners who could potentially spread the disease. Iceland provided free COVID testing to all of its citizens, and Finland used her social media influence to spread awareness about the virus. Finally, Norway used television to talk directly to her citizens through care, empathy, and a sense of unitedness.
