This New York Times article is about how female leaders seem to have a better handle on COVID-19. The best decisions are made when the people in charge are well informed from many different sources. This is more likely to happen with a diverse group of people. One of the suggested reasons is that governments with women leaders most likely have a more diverse group of people than male led countries. Women led countries such as Germany, have used information from a plethora of sources within and outside of their country. Whereas Sweden and Britain have only used their own models, and have also had much higher case rates than Germany. However, a political scientist at Tulane University did a study that determined that  the gender of a leader  is not a basis for causing a quicker/slower lock down response time. The study also showed that republican governors of any gender were slower to lock down than democrats. There is a theory that it is easier for women leaders to be cautious, and it is part of their gender stereotypes.
